Members of the Arizona Fund Manager Association are all experienced local fund experts pursuing the development of an institutional fund manager ecosystem in Arizona. Our members utilize their current resources to forge the way for investment fund managers.
Our members are closely aligned with policy makers, legislators and regulatory authorities throughout Arizona, focusing on collaboration and promotion of the state. Our team is proactively engaged in Arizona’s economy, drawing upon the expertise and experience of local institutional investors and emerging managers.

AFMA’s manager members collectively manage approximately $15 Billion in hedge fund or private credit fund assets. We facilitate strategic relationships between member firms and institutional investors seeking superior risk-adjusted returns.

AFMA hopes to create institutional finance tracks at ASU in the WP Carey School and Law School, that focus on the private alternative fund space, as well as internship opportunities for ASU students at best-in-class private equity funds and hedge funds.

AFMA promotes “Buying-Local” as an ESG initiative for local family offices, RIAs, and institutions. Supporting Arizona-based funds has a real impact in our local community, and helps anchor the credibility of our industry with investors worldwide.

Code of Conduct
AFMA Ethos: Members pledge to uphold the AFMA Ethos and as a result shall carry themselves, and conduct their businesses, in a manner consistent with the Ethos, both inside and outside of organizational events.
Non-Solicitation of Employees: Members will not recruit or hire employees of current Member firms without the expressed permission of the current Member employer.
Non-Solicitation of Investors: Members will not solicit investment from known investors, or known prospective investors, of Member firms without providing a courtesy notice. Members will not approach known investors, or known prospective investors, of Member firms that share competing strategies.
Slander: Members will not slander, defame, or permit libel of a current Member.
Confidentiality: Members understand that AFMA is a private organization dedicated to building trust between its Members and encouraging Member professional growth through collaboration. As a result, all of the discussions, correspondence, and materials shared between Members are to be treated as extremely sensitive and highly confidential information and cannot be shared with anyone not in attendance at such meetings.
